Recently, the potato virus-free propagation base greenhouse project constructed by Beijing Kingpeng International Hi-Tech Corporation. (hereinafter referred to as "KINGPENG") has been successfully completed. Leveraging potato virus-free technology, integrated with customized greenhouse facilities and scientific planting models, the project provides strong support for addressing the issue of potato "degeneration" and enhancing the industrial production capacity and quality.
As the world's fourth-largest food crop, the quality of potato seed tubers directly affects yield and quality. Being a vegetatively propagated crop, viruses tend to accumulate in potatoes over generations, resulting in seed degeneration, reduced yield, and compromised tuber quality (including size, shape, and taste), which restricts industrial development. Simply put, "virus-free" technology removes viruses carried by potatoes, restores their high-yield potential, and ensures better taste and more stable quality. The propagation base greenhouse project constructed by KINGPENG is an important application carrier of this technology.

The project is located in a natural habitat ideal for potato growth, boasting unique geographical advantages. The region has vigorously promoted the technological model of “virus-free seed potatoes + crop rotation + new fertilizers + advanced equipment + integrated pest management,” creating synergies with the development of the production base. To meet the client's functional requirements—non-operation in winter and operation in spring, autumn, and summer—KINGPENG adopted a composite structure of "glass + insect screens + film," ensuring operational efficiency while effectively reducing costs. In terms of greenhouse structural design, multiple needs were balanced: the roof is covered with 4mm tempered diffused glass to improve thermal insulation and light transmittance, ensuring uniform illumination and increasing crop yield. The surrounding walls feature insulated tempered glass on the upper part for optimal lighting and thermal retention, while the lower part is equipped with insect screens and film, constructing a physical barrier to block virus transmission and enhancing the flexibility of environmental regulation. Inside the greenhouse, high-border mobile seedbeds are installed, specifically designed for microtuber cultivation and production. These seedbeds improve space utilization, facilitate intensive management, and provide standardized, process-oriented guarantees for the healthy development of microtubers.
With extensive experience in greenhouse construction and cutting-edge technological reserves, KINGPENG provides global clients with full-industry-chain protected agriculture solutions. From a professional perspective, the company deeply understands client needs, captures key details, and offers forward-looking and practical suggestions through professional competence and services.
